This stunning gold and aluminum 5-lite insert fixture is 19 inches wide. The body of the frame measures 26 inches from the top to the end of the bottom dangle. The canopy measures 10 inches making the total minimum drop from ceiling to bottom approximately 38 inches. This could be shortened a few inches by substituting a shorter "period" canopy or an appropriate newer one. If a chandelier like this is placed where people walk under it, it is wise to leave at least seven, preferably as much as 7 1/2 feet clearance underneath. (it's not a seven foot tall friend who causes accidents! It is usually someone carrying a hockey stick or skis, you, or someone cleaning house going by with a broom or mop handle sticking up. So, the rule of thumb is that in an entrance hall, the more clearance, the better. In a interior room, a chandelier hanging lower is not such a vulnerable target. Over a dining table, which are usually 30 inches tall, a chandelier should hang 30 to 36 inches above the top of the table, making the bottom of the chandelier five to five and a half above the floor. So this chandelier could hang from a standard 8 1/2 foot ceiling in today's standard high rise. Here is a wonderful 5-light flush mount, accented with light gray and black matt detailing. This fixture is the largest and rarest amongst all American Deco chandeliers. It is 20 inches wide from the outer edges of the shades; 23 inches high from canopy to bottom of dangle. "Lincoln" collectors tell me its manufactured by "Lincoln". The shades slide in upside down. this is the only American Deco chandelier that rivals similar fixtures from France in bulk and size. The price of the biggest and best American Art Deco can provide is $1,695.50.

This aluminum 5-lite with satin amber shades retains the factory's red, green and gold coloring on a bright semi-polished background. The included canopy is of the same period, but not original to the fixture. The fixture is totally rewired, lit by 100 watts per socket, with brown cloth-covered wire on plated antique chain; and can be hung by only one link. the fixture is 17 inches wide by 13 inches high. The canopy has an 8 inch drop-3 feet of chain is included; and can hang as short as 20 inches or as long as 54 inches total. Each link of chain equals 1 inch. Here we have a highly stylized dark gray, steel colored white metal frame, frosted shades and an original canopy. The frame is 18 inches wide by 11 inches high. The original canopy has a 6 inch drop minimum; total drop of 20 inches. Alternately, we have a flush mount fixture which can be stripped and rewired having a total drop of only 10 inches. This rare beauty has been stripped of its garish paint and spotted paint haze of its shades. Like all our fixtures, it has been totally rewired and can handle 100 watt bulbs in each of its 5 porcelain sockets. This gives you a potential 500 watts of light which will be effectively filtered but left undiminished by the fixtures frosted shades.
